Individual and Corporate Environmental Responsibility and Sustainable Practices; How Can You Help?

Corporate responsibility is a hot-button keyword for all lovers of our planet. Large employers such as Abu Dhabi, Arab, and Zakat Funds for Development are huge corporate donors with a high level of community involvement, education, support, and philanthropy.

Individual responsibility has magnitudes greater effect, but focusing 100,000 people on a specific cause is not easy. The age group responsible for digging deep into their pocket and volunteering more of their time to help others are 25-34-year-olds.

True merit is silent. The people who give know they have done a good thing and do not need to boast. However, every company in business has to advertise its strides in corporate responsibility. It is becoming more common for a business to be rejected by customers for not engaging in and for the environment, equality, and sustainability.

Here are some volunteer, donation, and corporate sponsorship opps campaigns for your consideration.

  • Over 800 million people are in food shortage globally. The World Food Programme needs your help.
  • Marine Conservation Areas are helping to protect ecosystems from destruction, but much can be done to repair past damage. Where are your fish being caught?
  • I would love to see people and corporations work together to solve global homelessness. We can print a small concrete home in 18 hours. What are we waiting for?
  • The Abu Dhabi Center for Shelter and Humanitarian Care and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children provide sanctuary and support for children and women in danger of trafficking and violence.
  • Despite cultural and religious standards and constraints, drugs and alcohol present problems in our society. The Department of Community Development ensures high-quality treatment and social reintegration, but the National Rehabilitation Centre can only do so much for free.
  • Since 1991, the Emirates Environment Group has been educating and encouraging youth of future generations about sustainable living and preserving our world while we build in it.

Decreasing pollution and increasing our use of clean energy, upgrading efficiencies in equipment, practicing sustainable farming, and waste management starts in our homes. The fewer materials and food we consume, the less waste and pollution we have to deal with. When we purchase products better for our environment, production companies must respond or close their doors. Buy healthy for our future.
